Infectious Grooves is back with Take U On a Ride EP! New lineup announced!

That’s right! Funk-metal legends Infectious Grooves are back! It has been a long time since Infectious Grooves released their split Year of the Cycos featuring Sucidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, Cyko Myko and No Mercy (2008) and even more since their last full-length Borracho was released (1999). The band will release their new 4-track EP titled Take U on a Ride on April 18^th 2020 via Org Music. You can pre-order your copy here!

According to the Org Music website, the new Infectious Grooves lineup will feature Mike Muir on vocal, Robert Trujillo of Metallica on bass, Brooks Wackerman of Avenged Sevenfold on the drums and Dean Pleasants of Suicidal Tendencies on the guitar. It was also announced that the band will perform at Hellfest in France this June but the whole thing seems uncertain due to the Covid-19 mess.

Infectious Grooves, the funk/metal supergroup led by Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir, is back! Take U On A Ride (EP) features three unreleased tracks from 1995 along with their first newly recorded song in years. Infectious Grooves features bassist Robert Trujillo (Metallica), drummer Brooks Wackerman (Avenged Sevenfold), Dean Pleasants (Suicidal Tendencies), and other veteran players. The band will play HELLFEST in France this June. The EP comes on 12″ transparent orange color vinyl, mastered at 45RPM, exclusively for Record Store Day 2020.

So, the band will not only play at Hellfest, but has also announced to be playing a show in San Francisco at The Warfield. You can buy your tickets here
